Plain Speaking

"He revealed that 14 al-Qaida leaders had been transferred from the controversial jails to the Guantanamo Bay detention centre."

But not that the jails have been closed down...

"All suspects will now be treated under new guidelines issued by the Pentagon on Wednesday, which bring all military detainees under the protection of the Geneva Convention." (my italics)

Call me a pedant, but does the CIA (or any of the other non-uniformed acronyms who work "covertly") come under the auspices of the "military"?

Just asking.
