The Man From E.V.I.L.

After AROD woke up and saw this New York Post cover, he might have thought his day was all over but the sucking.

But it wasn't.

Two outs in the top of the ninth in Toronto. AROD is running to third on a Jorge Posada pop-up. Toronto 3B Howie Clark is squaring for an easy catch. Coming up behind him, AROD yells, "I got it!" Howie, thinking it's the voice of his shortstop, gives up on the idea of catching the ball!

It falls in for a hit. A runner scores. Toronto fans boo. Toronto broadcasters shake their heads and call AROD "bush." Blue Jays make fists and say "Grr-r-r."

Two more runs pad the Yankees' lead before the last out.

I never thought I'd say this, but...

AROD, you're the greatest!

UPDATE: AROD says he didn't call Clark off, he only made a non-verbal noise. I don't want to believe him.

Heh, heh. "Yankee Panky".

AROD was just misquoted. He was making the "non-verbal sounds" with the blonde.

My verification word: "grits". I do believe that's the first time I've ever seen an actual word word there!
