U.S. Debate On Race Ends

UPDATE: Someone understandably interpreted this post as a gesture of support for Leatherface. The truth is, I'm glad he could be fired not once but twice, and I wish he worked for a third company that could fire him today.

I'm really glad we've finally solved the racism problem.

Let's just hope this opens a slot for Casey Kashem. He can get us feeling good again.

"This long-distance dedication comes from Don in Arizona, who writes, 'Casey, this song goes out to a certain wolf pack of tattooed Jersey girls, who gave to me their proud African-based heritage hearts in one grand Scarlet Knight of personal forgiveness. I hurt them, Casey, and I will never forgive myself.' Don, this goes out to you and your urban posse playmates...

"From their platinum best selling album, 'As Nasty as They Wanna Be,' here is 2 Live Crew singing, 'Me So Horny...'"

Several commentators have also called for CBS to pull 50 Cent's show for the same kind of, if not even more egregious behavior. But Don doesn't sell platinum, and he wasn't funny besides, so this was a no brainer... Now more and more people in the black community are demanding record companies and broadcasters go to after the rappers for crude, demeaning misogynist lyrics. I guess what's good for the goose is good for the gander! And long overdue!
