This is the first time I've ever even THOUGHT of Stan Lee as being younger than 65.
Stan was already a psuedo-hip poseur, even then! You can only just barely tell where the rug begins.
Yes, artists used to write the strips they drew as well. But then he had Jack doing about eight books a month and every cover for the entire line, and it just became easier to plagiarize Kirby's dialogue notes (as well as coming up with his own corny, clumsy, cliche crap) and pass it off as his own. A genius at marketing, though, you can't deny that. Except I wonder how he can sleep at night, having ridden roughshod over the corpse of Kirby, screwing Ditko, Smith, Adams, at al. and other talented people that actually did work for which he took all of the credit (and royalties!) Exsmellsenor!
It is strange and interesting to see a more youthful Stan Lee.
Good thing Stan was looking out for those ghetto children. I think the look of smug self-satisfaction during the introduction was a big tip off to the panel.
And nevermind young Stan. Young Tom Poston is freaking me out!
