It's totally true, though! Next time you watch it, think of each X-Wing pilot as equivalent to Woody Allen in that one scene in "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex." The extended metaphor holds up so well I still wonder if Lucas wasn't consciously putting it in the scene.
