That ain't the Silver Surfer, that's "Lady", the sexy robot from Buichi Terasawa's SPACE ADVENTURE COBRA!

Silver Surfer was a dude, man. And that's no dude.

You're right. I should have looked at the picture more closely. Like Newsweek, I failed.

But it gives me an idea--the idea of a lifetime!

Wouldn't it be thrilling to follow the adventures of a space-spanning, cosmic-powered female counterpart to everyone's favorite sad-eyed Surfer?

And if noble' Norrin Radd himself flew in from time to time to share her epicine exploits... well, that would be the chrome on the surfboard!

Send those lettres, postal cards and up-to-the-minute "e"-mails to Mighty Marvel and demand that you get to read (and I get to write!) the space-born sultriness of... THE SILVER SHE-SURFER!

'Nuff Said!

Ah, it's true then. For too many artists, drawing women in "costume" is no different from drawing them nude...
